Food Allergy Awareness Week is an initiative of Anaphylaxis Australia. The week helps to promote and develop through education, research and ongoing support, the awareness of food allergy amongst Australians. In 2012 the campaign features as ambassadors comedian Peter Helliar, celebrity chef Alex Herbert and Dr Mukesh Haikerwal, GP and former president of the Australian Medical Association and Anthony Field from The Wiggles. The Allergen Bureau and the Australian Food and Grocery Council are excited to announce a series of industry workshops launching the latest PIF 5.0 and VITAL 2.0. Cost to attend the half-day workshops is only $165, plus booking fee. Georgina Christensen ,  Kirsten Grinter , David Henning and Robin Sherlock from the Allergen Bureau will tell you all about the new VITAL 2.0. What’s new in PIF 5.0 will be presented by Kim Leighton from the AFGC. Morning and afternoon half-day industry workshops are being run in Brisbane and Newcastle, respectively.
